FOR WALT WHITMAN
An entire Walt Whitman quote was carved into the asphalt along a curving walkway leading to the entrance to the school. The words exposed the earth underneath allowing room to plant native perennials. The quote read:
"After you have exhausted what there is in business, politics, conviviality, and so on--have found that none of these finally satisfy or permanently wear--What remains? Nature remains."
